About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Leader to join our team at LEGO Koncernen, a global leader in the toy industry. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop our procurement strategy for sustainable materials, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and sustainability.

Job Summary:

The Procurement Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that meet the company's sustainability goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with experience in leading teams and developing strategic partnerships. They will also have a deep understanding of the toy industry and its supply chain.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: The Procurement Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's sustainability goals and objectives. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, logistics, and product development.
  • Lead and Develop Teams: The Procurement Leader will lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: The Procurement Leader will build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's sustainability standards and requirements.
  • Sustainability and Risk Management: The Procurement Leader will work closely with the sustainability team to identify and mitigate sustainability risks across the supply chain. They will also develop and implement strategies to reduce waste, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience in Procurement: A minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Sustainability Knowledge and Experience: A deep understanding of sustainability principles and practices, with experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

This role is based in Billund, Denmark, with regular travel to other locations as required. We offer a hybrid work policy, with an average of 3 days per week in the office.
