Position Overview

This role is situated within the LBA (ligand binding-assay) Bioanalysis & Biomarker Area, which comprises a team of 28 skilled researchers and laboratory technicians. We are seeking a committed professional to enhance our team of automation specialists.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated systems, including Tecan Fluent liquid handlers.
  • Act as the primary liaison for service technicians and assist in the integration of new applications into automated processes.
  • Oversee laboratory equipment and facilitate the connection between laboratory analyses and automated workflows.
  • Collaborate with researchers and laboratory technicians to promote automation in analyses and sample management.
  • Implement and validate equipment and IT systems, streamline workflows, and ensure integration with the LIMS system.

About the Department: Our Non-clinical and Clinical Assay Sciences (NCAS) area consists of seven departments and is integrated within Research and Early Development.

We are responsible for the preclinical and clinical bioanalysis of new pharmaceutical products, including immunogenicity and biomarker assays, supporting the entire Novo Nordisk product range.

We foster strong collaboration across departments that share laboratory facilities equipped with various advanced techniques, such as ELISA, MSD, AlphaLISA, RIA, Gyros, LCMS, and cell-based assays.

NCAS operates under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations and is transitioning towards a more digitized and automated laboratory environment.


Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should:

  • Hold a qualification as a laboratory technician or possess a relevant background.
  • Have experience in using and maintaining laboratory equipment, preferably with liquid handlers.
  • Possess experience in a regulated environment (e.g., GLP or GCP) as an advantage.
  • Have familiarity with IT systems and equipment validation, although this is not mandatory.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in automation and a passion for resolving technical challenges.
  • Be capable of translating laboratory workflow knowledge into automated processes.
