About the role

We are seeking to hire an Economist to join our growing Nordic team based in Copenhagen. The role will involve analysing client data, reviewing economic literature, conducting empirical analysis and drafting reports.

You will work on projects in the Nordic countries and beyond, collaborating with colleagues across Europe. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact from day one and contribute to the growth of our Nordic business.

The ideal candidate typically has a Master's degree in economics and relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing qualitative and quantitative client data to better understand how competition works in their industry
  • Reviewing economic literature and contributing to discussions about theoretical and empirical approaches
  • Conducting empirical analysis using Excel, Stata and other data analysis software
  • Drafting reports summarising analyses
  • Participating in client meetings and conference calls

Skills Sought:

  • Master's degree in economics, ideally with a focus on microeconomics, industrial organisation or econometrics
  • Relevant work experience is also considered (e.g. from an economic consultancy, competition authority or regulator)
  • A highly analytical mindset
  • Quantitative and qualitative research and analysis skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English is essential; fluency in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian is desirable
  • Stata and Excel skills are also desirable, as are skills in other data analysis software packages
