Software Developer for .NET App Development
4 days ago
Are you passionate about app development across platforms? Does building software that integrates directly with hardware in the field excite you? Are you ready to shape the future of Kamstrup's Field Tools and see your code come to life in real-world applications?
From code to impact in the field
As Software Developer for.NET App Development, you will be responsible for developing Kamstrup's Field Tool applications that support configuration and communication with our meters. You will contribute to the full development lifecycle — from feature planning and coding to testing and release. Working across mobile and desktop platforms, you will help shape robust, scalable and user-friendly tools that make a real difference in the field.
Moreover, you will be working with the following technologies:
- NET / C#
- Cross-platform development in .NET MAUI
- SQL / SQLite
- MVVM design pattern
- Build pipelines
- Unit testing etc.
We offer a position in a highly innovative environment where you will have ownership of key features and contribute to shaping the technical direction of our tools. You will become part of a collaborative and international culture that encourages learning, knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Meet your future team
You will become part of a small and dedicated software team within our Tools & Apps department. The team consists of 6 experienced developers with backgrounds in software engineering and physics, working closely together to build configuration tools that connect seamlessly with our meters. We value professional sparring, curiosity and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving — and support each other in delivering high-quality solutions.
Despite its size, the team works across platforms and technologies and continuously explores new ways to improve tools and workflows. Collaboration, learning and having fun while solving meaningful challenges are key elements in how we work.
Less About Us, More About You
We are looking for an innovative and skilled developer who enjoys solving complex problems and working across technologies. You take pride in writing clean, maintainable code and thrive in a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and continuous learning are part of everyday work.
In order to succeed, we imagine that you:
- Have a professional background in Engineering, Computer Science or similar, and at least a couple of years of experience in a similar role
- Have experience with .NET / C# and cross-platform development and are familiar with SQL, MVVM and unit testing
- Can work independently and approach tasks in a structured and solution-oriented way
- Take initiative and seek out new knowledge to continuously improve your skills and solutions
As we are an international organization it is important that you are fluent in English.
Whilst you may not meet all the qualifications listed above, you could still be a good candidate for the position. If you find the role intriguing, do not hesitate to apply.
We are more than an ordinary workplace
We cherish the good colleagueship which we all contribute to, the only limit is your engagement. As we are a big organization you are bound to find one or more colleagues who share the same interest as you. This might be in our board game club, on our cycling team, during our yearly summer festival, or on the padel court. For example, our Team lead, Service Delivery is also our volunteer padel instructor while one of our Software Test Engineers run weekly spinning classes.
Besides the best colleagues you could imagine, we also offer:
- Work life balance through flexible working hours
- Employee benefits including a healthy canteen, fitness facilities, in-house dental clinic, hairdresser, and a free health clinic
- An active employee association that fosters a collaborative and supportive workplace community
- Beneficial health care and insurance package
