Danske Bank has, over the past years, laid a strong foundation for Generative AI (GenAI). We are now upgrading our ambitions to become a European leader in Generative AI - accelerating value creation for our customers, colleagues, and shareholders.

To support this journey, we are looking for a strategic and creative GenAI Communications Lead with a journalistic instinct and a drive for shaping narratives around GenAI. This role is pivotal in positioning Danske Bank and the Chief AI Officer (CAIO) area as a thought leader in the GenAI space, driving external engagement, and enhancing our branding platform.

You will be part of GenAI Business Management & Implementation (BMI) and work closely with central communications and press teams, as well as senior stakeholders, to craft compelling stories underpinning our strategic direction and create opportunities to get our message out across media, conferences, and other key platforms.

Additionally, you will contribute to defining the roadmap to drive progress on external benchmarks, such as the Evident AI Banking Index, and ensure alignment with key internal stakeholders across the organization.

The Role

  • External Narrative Development:
  • Create and maintain a strong, consistent narrative around GenAI and CAIO initiatives.
  • Develop thought leadership content (executive briefs, LinkedIn posts, articles) that resonates with external audiences.
  • Media, Conferences & Platform Engagement:
  • Collaborate with central press teams to pitch stories and secure coverage in relevant media outlets.
  • Identify, vet, and facilitate opportunities to amplify our message at conferences, panels, and strategic platforms.
  • Prepare briefing materials for interviews and speaking engagements.
  • Brand & Positioning:
  • Strengthen Danske Bank's GenAI branding platform through consistent messaging and storytelling.
  • Monitor trends and competitor narratives to ensure our positioning remains distinctive and forward-thinking.
  • Roadmap & Benchmarking:
  • Define and execute a roadmap to advance external benchmarks and visibility in the GenAI space.
  • Align efforts with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and strategic impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Act as a bridge between GenAI Business Management, CAIO, and central communications teams.
    Ensure alignment of external messaging with internal priorities and strategic goals.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in communications, PR, or journalism, ideally within tech, AI, or financial services.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
  • Ability to produce visually engaging materials, including briefings, presentations, and graphics, that clarify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with experience in thought leadership development, brand positioning, and roadmap planning.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
    Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment with high attention to detail.
