As the A220 Program Manager you can change things and people for the better, for which we need your kind and compassionate soul who wants to help. A220 processes are partially subject to immaturity, leading to manual processes - and we would love to get your help in harnessing cross functional initiatives to craft new satisfying support levels which our customers love. Your fixer mentality will define the next generation of material ordering flow.

Responsibilities to drive the overall A220 Program success for Satair

  • In the phase after Satair onboarding A220 you will be assigned to lead one or several projects improve A220 Spares support and business in the short and mid-term. These projects are typically cross-functional and require drive and leadership to work with the whole organization

  • Contribute as necessary to the overall progress and tracking of the A220 Level-Up governance (KPI – Project completion)

  • Lead projects as defined to mature the A220 Spares Business (could be in terms of sales but also in terms of support/satisfaction)

  • Help to adapt the Satair A220 setup to the development/footprint of the fleet, establish relevant business cases and projects to prepare the future

  • Net margin accountability for products and pricing policy related topics, costs assigned in terms of profit along the defined path. Negotiate new pricing policies and forecast budget needs with Airbus Canada and Satair functions. Perform thorough scoping and strategic analysis of the business to find levers to substantiate, sustain and increase the financial plan and maximize profitability

  • Maintain contact with all levels within the customer organization to ensure that their needs are being understood and met by initiatives

  • Work closely with Sales Directors and Support Directors to build confidence of customers in Airbus commitment to support the A220 Program

  • Provide visibility to stakeholders on the roadmap and improvements that can be expected

  • Identify A220 related process gaps vs. legacy programs, assess different way of working requiring special processes or roles and launch VSM workshops

  • Provide sales leads/opportunities on A220 and establish commercial offers including determining pricing conditions or support to aircraft sales campaigns as applicable

  • Develop, analyze, and present solutions using various reporting tools on a variety of issues including: sales results, market shares, pricing efficiency, forecasting, inventory and other related matters. Furthermore you continuously go the "extra miles", if needed going fully operationally, in order to support the team and the customer

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

  • Versatility to be a Program Manager and also to be a Project Manager that can handle a wide variety of assignments, particularly in the transition and improvement phase

  • Excellent skills in building presentations and presenting to both senior executives and customers

  • Excellent commercial skills and business acumen (3 to 5 years of commercial business experience) 

  • Demonstrable success in projecting and negotiating financial targets (AOP)

  • Strong understanding of the Commercial aviation aftermarket supply chain (3 to 5 years of experience)

  • Advanced level analytic skills (ability to see big picture) and data analytics

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, strong influencing and assertiveness skills

  • Advanced utilizing google sheets and slides, Use of SAP or other ERP system a plus

  • Advanced utilizing Skywise is a plus, advanced in tools that support data analytics

  • Plus: Experience in Agile Ways of Working

Education:

  • A Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or Aerospace or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in program management, project management, or product management in sales/customer service (preferably in the aviation industry)

Travel Required:

  • 20 percent both domestic and intercontinental

  • Able to travel sometimes on short notice

Decision Making, Complexity:

  • Ability to conduct multi-functional projects in a complex environment with different entities

  • Ability to analyze processes and structures like a consultant, to identify process gaps and to propose work arounds

  • Ability to think creatively and crosswise during development of new strategies, but at the same time being precise and hands-on at its implementation

  • Ability to negotiate and resolve disputes downstream/upstream

  • Ability negotiate budgets needs

  • Ability to build and present decision papers and marketing pitches

  • Ability to develop commercial agreements and converting lead
