Would you enjoy being the communication specialist at a research-based food department, where you will be responsible for a wide range of communication tasks? If yes, this position is definitely of interest to you. We hope you will join the Department as from 1. September, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Department of Food Science, at Aarhus University (AU FOOD) is looking for a skilled science communicator to turn our many scientific results into content for the general public. In the last two to three years, we have grown immensely, almost doubling the number of researchers, most of whom are not native Danes, but come from all over the world.

With so many new researchers, novel results are published all the time, and we really need someone to help us bring this important information into society.
We are focused on research, and through our research we deliver research-based education programs both nationally and internationally, and research-based policy advice to the authorities.

What you’ll do: It’s a new position, so you’ll play a big role both in defining your daily tasks and creating the best strategy for getting our research into the public conversation.

Examples of specific tasks

What we are looking for

At AU FOOD, we have many different nationalities and communicate primarily in English. Being fluent in English as well as Danish is required. You’ll need to talk, read, and write in both languages.

The job requires a lot of writing, and we assume that you master different journalistic genres, that you know how to keep the reader interested, and that you know both Danish and English grammar.
