Your role

will be split 50/50 between:PCT Lite Accessories (Product Category Teams)As the chair of decision board for upgrades and improvement portfolios, you will together with the Director COE Accessories ensure intake and prioritization of ambitious portfolios based on the projects that brings the best business for VELUX and reaches our goals.Act as 3rd level escalation point and gatekeeper for medium projects and help remove roadblocks.Ensure generation and qualification of potential projects to fill up the pipeline roadmap on Cost and CO2 reductionPeople managerLead and develop a skilled team of 5 project managers and technical coordinators.Collaborate closely together with your colleague (Manager Accessories Design) to ensure resource management and execution of projects.

On daily basis, your tasks will typically be within the following areas:

Chair the monthly PCT Lite and biweekly gate meetings and drive the quarterly intake process for project proposals.Communicate prioritization to stakeholders.Drive portfolio of small support projects below PCT Lite threshold.Inspire and grow project managers by aligning expectations clearly and providing timely feedback on performance and results.Ensure high quality project management including risk and stakeholder management, progress reporting, data quality in PPM and continuous improvement.Resource management of own team.

You will be measured on the project success ratio in your team, the achievement of KPIs (e.g. cost-out, CO2 reduction and quality improvement vs. current standard) within your team’s projects, and your ability to build up and continuously improve collaboration across the leadership team and with your stakeholders across our organization.

In this role, you can expect 15-20 days per year of travel within Denmark, and additionally approx. 5-10 days of international travel per year.

Your qualifications

To be successful in this role, it is important that you

Have worked minimum 5 years as project manager within a product development or product optimization environment.Have experience steering projects in a Stage Gate (or similar) project model.Have a natural interest in physical products.Bring a great business acumen and a holistic business understanding.Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical area, e.g. engineering.Speak and write English and Danish proficiently.

It is a benefit if you already have experience as people manager, and in addition have experience in Microsoft Projects, but it is not a requirement for applying to this role.
