The position particularly focuses on the researchers and research within the Department of Psychology (IP). IP conducts research aimed at improving human health and well-being. The researchers at the department address complex questions, such as understanding human emotions, cognition, and behaviour, and work closely with other research environments and the wider community.
Southern Denmark Research Support assists researchers at the SDU Faculty of Health Sciences and in the regions of Southern Denmark, Zealand, and the Capital Region in securing external research funding from all types of grant providers—private and public, Danish and international, including EU research programmes. Southern Denmark Research Support is a growing support unit with extensive collaboration both within the faculty, across the broader university, with hospitals, and with external partners—nationally and internationally.
Southern Denmark Research Support assists researchers by providing an overview of research funding, offering information and education, giving advice, maintaining dialogue with foundations and sponsors, and developing systems, processes, and methods. Together with the rest of the unit, you will help implement the faculty's new research strategy, which focuses on research support, excellent research, translational and interdisciplinary research, collaboration with external partners (including hospitals, municipalities, and citizens), and innovation.
As an employee at Southern Denmark Research Support, your work will also align with SDU's strategy for securing external research funding. The tasks are varied and include:
Providing advice to the faculty, department head, unit leaders, and research group leaders.
Assisting researchers with grant applications, including offering qualified feedback and generalist reviews.
Managing internal processes for research applications, including budgeting.
Participating in, presenting at, and organising information meetings, workshops, and courses.
Contributing to the development and implementation of processes and tools for the research support function, from concept to societal impact.
We are looking for a creative and dedicated colleague who:
Has an outgoing, collaborative personality, and is skilled at building relationships.
Has an academic background with experience either as an academic staff member or researcher.
Possesses insight into project planning, including organisation and finance.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with good command of English and a well-developed cultural understanding.
