The position
As the Head of DD&IT PS API Production Systems, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction for IT across API Production Systems. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring robust and effective IT support, minimising production downtime, and driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  1. Set the strategic direction for IT across API Production Systems in collaboration with sites, expansion projects and specialists from DD&IT.
  2. Lead and support operational sites 24/7, ensuring robust and effective IT support to minimise production downtime.
  3. Oversee daily operations by directing IT leaders and staff, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  4. Establish and drive a department of leaders and professionals accountable for planning and delivery.
  5. Build strong Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and delivery models.
  6. Ensure operational excellence on the shop floor and across sites through a robust and agile delivery organisation.
  7. Own and be responsible for API Production Systems, ensuring high levels of compliance, IT security, and Life Cycle Management (LCM).

Your commitment to high standards of compliance, IT security, and Life Cycle Management will be essential in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our API Production Systems.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who can fulfill most of the following requirements for this position:

  1. A bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in engineering or business and economics.
  2. 10+ years of professional experience as an IT leader, with demonstrated managerial skills and leadership abilities.
  3. Extensive technical knowledge and experience within IT and automation systems in the pharmaceutical industry.
  4. Experience with senior management teams in Production or similar, and an in-depth understanding of production processes.
  5. Advanced analytical skills and practical experience in analysing complex business issues.
  6. Exceptional communication skills are required, and proficiency in Danish would be a plus.

About the department
You will join a highly skilled and dynamic team dedicated to supporting Novo Nordisk's API Production and securing products to our patients. Our department DD&IT PS API is based in Denmark and the US. We are a newly established area with a high focus on building a robust, scalable and agile organization with an effective delivery model in close collaboration across the whole area and working side by side seamlessly with our colleagues in production, securing the critical ongoing production while keeping moving towards an even more automated and digital production.
