About Bevar Ukraine

Bevar Ukraine is a humanitarian NGO founded in 2014. Our purpose is to provide humanitarian and medical aid to Ukrainians in need. Over the past 8 years we have sent more than 430 trucks of humanitarian aid from Denmark to Ukrainian hospitals, orphanages, educational institutions and elderly homes. Bevar Ukraine has established itself as a reliable and trustworthy humanitarian organisation. We have developed our expertise by working and communicating with Danish and Ukrainian governmental institutions, businesses, media, NGOs, and volunteers.

The ideal candidate is motivated, professional, strategic, and well organized. We are looking for someone who believes passionately in Bevar Ukraine's mission and can demonstrate exceptional drive to further our existing communications efforts and help to design and deliver new ones.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise, train and support staff and volunteers on how to produce effective communications
  • Produce high-quality communications materials such as newsletters, feature stories, case studies, quotes, photographs, short videos etc. that respond to new needs
  • Engage Danish and foreign media, Internet and printed resources with our activities
  • Ensure that all project communications and materials are up to date and meet the requirements of donor visibility
  • Be the focal point who liaises with the communications/media teams from partner organizations in Denmark, Ukraine and the rest of Europe
  • Engage journalists in local and national media so that they report accurately and positively on Bevar Ukraine's programs and our response to the urgent humanitarian needs in Ukraine
  • Generate quality media coverage of Bevar Ukraine's programs and advocacy work in Denmark and in Ukraine. This includes drafting and disseminating press releases, questions and answers, media briefs, etc.
  • Take an active role in organizing and staging public events, training sessions and meetings related to the work and initiatives of Bevar Ukraine

*We encourage the Communications Manager to bring their own ideas and initiatives.

Who we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of communications, PR or marketing experience
  • Full working proficiency in Danish
  • Degree in communications, public relations, business, or a related field
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Expertise in drafting press releases and communications materials
