Your new role
The Team Lead plays a central role in Dalux product development and is responsible for running their own team. This is not a people management position, but think of it rather as Project Manager and Lead Developer rolled into one. Each team is assigned to one or more areas of the Dalux product portfolio and is responsible for implementing features and/or non-functional requirements, as well as ensuring a high level of quality.

You will spend around 50/50 of your time with hands-on development and tasks assigned to the team lead responsibilities, which among other will include:

  • Clarify requirements and discuss product strategy and content with our Product Owners.
  • Create area specific technical and architectural solutions together with team members.
  • Execute planning activities with the Product Owner and the team.
  • Mentor and coach developers.
  • Onboard & train new team members from a technical and process perspective.
  • Release components and products as needed.
  • Keep the team Sprint Backlog up to date and ensure a good task flow in the sprint.
  • Continuously work to improve Dalux by sharing and implementing new ideas.

Our tech stack
We strive to apply the latest technology and best practices in the industry in a sensible and pragmatic manner on our 20+ development teams.

  • All teams use Jenkins, Git (GitLab), AWS.
  • On full-stack teams we mostly do C#/.NET, Angular, WebGL, MSSQL, ElasticSearch, and DirectX.
  • Mobile Teams swear to Xamarin (soon to be .NET Maui), OpenGL ES, Vulkan.
  • AI / Computer Vision teams use C++, Python, and many more.

Which team you will end up taking responsibility for will depend on your own wishes and skills as well as the current company needs.

About you
A little bit about what we expect, although it need not be a definitive formula. We'd love it if you had a different angle or perspective we haven't thought about yet.

  • You probably have an educational background within Software Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related fields.
  • We value experience from a key developer role as well as experience with agile methods and some of the tools and technologies around it.
  • A Team Lead should have good facilitation and planning skills.
  • Also, a flair for ensuring a good working atmosphere in a team is valuable.
  • Lastly, an ability to understand and suggest improvements to work processes and everything that goes on in Dalux Development.

Who is Dalux?
Founded in 2005, Dalux is a Danish software company build on a foundation of geometric processing and 3D computer graphics. As a Contech company our products are aimed at making the construction industry smarter and more efficient.

The construction industry is the second largest industry in the world, and it is still among the least digitalized industries. Huge amounts of time, materials and knowledge are wasted on modern construction sites. It is estimated that only 30% of all time spent onsite is used executing the actual construction tasks driving the process. At Dalux we are changing this.

Our software facilitates the entire lifecycle of a building. We have a complete end-to-end solution used from the initial idea of the building, the handling of technical drawings (BIM models), the construction and to the subsequent operation and maintenance of the building. All the way - until the inevitable demolition - we reduce waste of time, materials and cost.

To continue building the best products on the market, we focus intensely on technology and product development. This means we are at the forefront using cloud solutions, drones, computer vision and AI to change the way the construction industry works.

For the last 5 years, we have grown by 60% annually. We are currently more than 375 employees distributed across 33 offices in more than 20 countries. All our product development is located in our offices in Østerbro, Copenhagen.
