Job ID: 27458

Do you find inspiration in working with strategic decision making, implementation of development projects and stakeholder support?

Data is a key asset for tomorrow's success. We are looking for a Strategic Partner to support Data Strategy Execution in Group Data Management on strategic decision making and drive development projects with high and low complexity, ensuring real value adding data impact for Nordea.

At Nordea, we see that the world is changing fast – and we want to be one step ahead of the curve. That’s why we’re deeply committed to accelerate the data usage of the bank for tomorrow’s solutions to our customers.

About this opportunity
You will join Data Strategy and Alignment team in the unit Data Strategy Execution within Group Data Management. Our team will support Nordea’s Data Strategy, both in terms of strategic thinking and driving the implementation.

As a Strategic Partner, you will drive change management in an effective way and ensure proactive and close collaboration with stakeholders across Nordea. You will take ownership and initiative as well as provide guidance and coaching to team members if needed.

What you are accountable for:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the banking industry’s operations and how data drive those operations, support in setting a clear vision of the execution on the board-approved data strategy, effectively plan and manage work to ensure accountability, stakeholder engagement and liaise with other strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Develop high-quality, impactful material and craft effective storylines to anchor both internal and external support for strategic initiatives.
  • Present complex analyses and data clearly, structuring content around end-goals for efficient processes, and confidently deliver presentations to senior audiences with credibility and adaptability.
  • Act as a proactive problem solver, facilitating productive meetings with senior stakeholders, leveraging group dynamics, and navigating organizational and political contexts to build support, provide options and achieve objectives.

Who you are
Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in being at our best – and that we imagine you share with us. To build a successful career with us, you’ll work well with others and always act with the customer’s needs in mind. You love learning and trying new things, and you’re excited about bringing your ideas to the table. You’re honest and dependable, willing to speak up even when it’s difficult, and committed to empowering others. You’re passionate about doing a great job. We are seeking a high performing individual meeting the qualifications for this position.

To make an impact in this role, we believe that you are/have:

  • A high ability to understand and think strategic and holistic about topics, and to gain and use that knowledge.
  • Able to see beyond theoretical strategy and to clarify a strategy execution down to activity level.
  • Very structured, communicate easily with people, and have an eye for the details comprising the big picture.
  • Being able to communicate a complicated and technical subject in an easy to comprehend manner.
  • High integrity and are able to keep calm while performing under pressure.
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • A team player and feel comfortable and inspired by working with people from diverse backgrounds and skillsets.
  • Focused on delivering results personally or through people and enabling the team to effectively deal with their responsibilities by sharing information and delegating both responsibility and the mandate to act.

Your experience and background:

  • Master’s degree with 5+ years working experience in relevant field.
  • Project management and/or strong experience in stakeholder management.
  • Highly analytical track record.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the banking industry’s operations and how data drives those operations.
