Hedehusene, Denmark Inter IKEA Systems B.V. Full time
Logistics Co-worker for picking, evening team, 37 hours per week, IKEA Customer Distribution Center, Hedehusene

You care about making a positive impact in the world. You understand greatness requires thinking differently. An inclusive and accepting work environment is important to you.

A job at IKEA is so much more than home furnishings. Together, we work to make a better everyday life for the many. It's the perfect fit if you want to contribute, grow, and share. Join the team and start a better life for yourself.

We are looking for a co-worker who would like to shape and develop our Retail Warehouse and who always has the customer in focus. You do not necessarily need to have a forklift license or extensive experience using reach- and counter balance forklifts, but we prefer candidates who do.
Please be aware that we primarily speak English.
We have many different departments in the Warehouse, so it is important that you like working cross-functionally and love collaborating with many different people. We are looking for someone who takes initiative and responsibility for their work. It is also important that you contribute to the positive work environment and come with your inputs and ideas, so we can renew and improve our processes, ensuring we have happy customers. In IKEA, there is space to be who you are, so you just need to be yourself.

What you'll be doing day to day:

Your primary task will be picking customer orders using manual labor, a pallet lifter, or a forklift. Therefore, it is not unlikely that you will pack and handle several tons of goods every day. When orders are being expedited online or in the stores, your job is to find and pack the goods for the customers, and secure that the right goods are packed as fast as possible and without any damages and flaws. You primarily work independently, but with colleagues close by.

Your tasks will be primarily:

  1. Picking and packing orders for customers both from the stores and online, which also includes click & collect orders.
  2. Cleaning and maintenance of the department and equipment.
  3. Proactively securing the safety of our warehouse.
  4. Working together with colleagues from different backgrounds.

Together as a team:

You'll be a part of an international organization, with many different development opportunities, both short- and long-term. We will make sure you receive the proper training so you feel safe and competent to do the job. With us, you will be part of an international team with both part-time co-workers and full-time co-workers, who all work towards the same goals.

We know that our co-workers are our most important resource and we are therefore looking for people who share our values, so we can give our customers the best service possible. At IKEA, diversity is a part of daily working life and we believe that new ideas and competence contribute to developing as an organization. Regardless of which ethnicity, nationality, or cultural background you have, we all share the IKEA values. We work in a fast-paced environment, but we have a close collaboration and always support each other.
