Our Hydronics team is proud to design, develop, and take to market a class-leading portfolio of Hydronic systems and intelligent products covering District Energy to Building Solutions. We now have an exciting new opportunity to join this team and play a leading part in our ongoing journey to develop more energy-optimized and IoT connected products.

This role is for a highly skilled Senior Design Quality Specialist to drive Quality Reliability in our product development projects in Danfoss Hydronics. In this role, you will be part of a development team to ensure the Voice of Customer and product reliability overall. You will collaborate closely with an international cross-functional team, including design engineers, quality engineers, and product managers, to ensure that our brand value is sustained for our products. The Senior Design Quality Specialist will join our development projects for our electronic, software-based, and digital portfolio within Hydronics.

This role will be based at our facilities in Kolding, Silkeborg, or Nordborg and will require a small amount of travel (typically 5-10 days per year).

Job Responsibilities
As Senior Design Quality Specialist, you will hold responsibility for:

  1. Facilitating the Design Quality process within Product Development Teams, guiding the team through the FMEA process to ensure Voice of Customers and design quality targets for our products.
  2. Accountability for signing of the major deliverables such as Customer Requirement Specifications and Product Specifications, and following up to ensure these are updated throughout the project life cycle.
  3. Developing the quality maturity throughout the project, assessing and validating product tests and test scope coverage.
  4. Monitoring and documenting the progress of different deliverables within the milestone development model, ensuring visibility of recommended but still missing tasks.
  5. Sharing learnings and best practices from different development projects across an internal network of Design Quality Specialists and other peers.
  6. Building awareness within the Hydronics RD&E organization and beyond on the APQP practices and tools.

Background & Skills
To thrive in this role as Senior Design Quality Specialist, we would expect you to demonstrate:

  1. Detailed successful experience within an R&D-oriented organization, with the ability, personality, interest, and will to drive FMEA processes, ensuring high quality of branded products.
  2. Bachelor's or Master's degree qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a similar relevant discipline.
  3. Experience with software and/or digital products is a prerequisite for the position, and knowledge about DevOps would be an advantage.
  4. Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience using a suite of quality tools, including APQP, FMEA, CRS, PS, PTAP, etc.
  5. A strong working knowledge of quality management standards, including IATF16949, ISO9001, and EN17025.
  6. A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
  7. An ability to influence and use good negotiation skills to win buy-in from management on ideas and concepts.
  8. An ability to build, foster, and leverage positive stakeholder relationships across all levels to ensure Danfoss quality vision is clearly communicated, understood, and implemented correctly.
  9. Comfort in working within a global and multicultural organization with a changing environment.
  10. Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
