We are looking for a Software Developer to join our ambitious gas trading team with experienced colleagues committed to achieving great results together.
The job as Software Developer in our Gas Trading team
As our new Software Developer specializing in the gas market, you will be responsible for developing solutions that meet the needs of our trading team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical trading systems. This also includes developing our automated and algorithmic trading solution. The work involves a close relationship with traders and our Software Development team in Denmark, as you ensure that projects are completed to a high-quality standard.
Most of our systems are built in-house, so you will work full-stack and follow each step from idea to deployment. In the stack, we work with a wide set of technologies and systems depending on the task, including Python, C#, JavaScript, Azure platform, and Grafana.
Your work will directly impact the success of our team, and you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of future projects.
Key responsibilities
- Continuous development of our automated and algorithmic trading solution, including implementing new algorithms.
- Developing tools to support the reliability, overview, and tracking of the automated trading solution.
- Coordinate with traders and other software developers to design and develop new state-of-the-art solutions for the gas market.
- Moving old architecture to the cloud platform Azure and expanding the use of cloud technologies.
Qualifications and personal skills
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Proactive and curious mindset, with the willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Proven experience in software development; domain experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or similar. Experience in Python is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), with Azure specifically being a plus.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a diverse team to achieve goals.
- Fluent in English.
