About the team

At Urban Partners we practice a mindset of always learning because knowledge-sharing and exploration are pivotal to our success. In this role, you will become a part of our Data Operations & Sustainability Execution team of 11 people with 8 colleagues located at our office in Copenhagen. You will be part of a highly skilled team, that acts as Nrep's team of specialists, supporting across business segments and geographies.

About the role

Energy Management is one of our key levers supporting our sustainability ambitions, and therefore of high priority for senior management. As an Energy Manager in Nrep, you will be a pivotal centre during the implementation of our energy management efforts across our markets and business segments.

You will be the deep specialist on the energy management agenda and will collaborate with a product owner who owns the systems, contracts, and integration responsibility, and Data Managers in each geography enabling local knowledge and network etc. Lastly, you will be supported by sustainability managers in the local markets who are generalists within the field of ESG. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of leading the Energy Management agenda across our markets by implementing measures that enable active energy management
  • Take joint responsibility together with the team to further refine and develop Nrep’s sustainability delivery model
  • Assist in planning and prioritizing the assets in scope, together with stakeholders across our segments
  • Reduce energy consumption by 10% on a per-asset basis through our suppliers within active energy management
  • Assess business cases and be the driving force, and assess hardware gap analysis
  • Engage in supplier dialogues aiming to provide scalability and impact whilst having quality assurance processes in place

Your Experience & Skills

We are looking for a motivated individual who is diligent and excels in a dynamic environment, with a deep understanding of building energy systems, including HVAC components like ECL and BMS and energy management software. Strong project management skills are essential, with a focus on improving energy consumption in collaboration with third-party suppliers. You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as energy management, marine engineering, or building science, with 5-10 years of experience in real estate ESG and expertise in building energy management. Experience with certification schemes such as LEED, DGNB, and BREEAM is a plus.

To succeed, you should possess a positive, proactive attitude with good self-management skills. You are committed to continuous learning and have strong collaboration skills to build lasting relationships. A "doer" mindset, capable of overcoming challenges, is highly valued. You are proficient in project management with strong organizational skills and are willing to act as a guide or change agent during organizational transitions. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate the benefits of energy management to colleagues and stakeholders are necessary to ensure broad support.
