Ambitious Finance Director with CFO potential (at least 5-7 years of experience) for private equity-backed GreyBird Pilot Academy

To support our rapid growth and success, we are seeking an analytical and results-driven Finance Director to play a key role in our organisation. Over time, you will have the opportunity to lead our finance team (currently comprising 3 dedicated colleagues) and drive strategic financial initiatives.

As the Finance Director, you will be instrumental in ensuring the academy's financial health. Reporting to and working closely with the CEO and management team, you will provide strategic financial insights, ensure compliance, and help drive outstanding performance. This role offers significant responsibility and the chance to grow into a CFO position in the near future. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Drive financial performance and optimize financial operations
  • Collaborate with department leaders to align financial goals with business objectives
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, e.g. expansion into new territories and M&A activities
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the management team and board of directors

Your Qualifications

  • A master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a leading audit firm or in a finance controlling / financial management role
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
  • Fluency in Danish and English, written and spoken
