Centrica Energy is the trading and optimisation arm of Centrica plc, and a leading provider of energy risk management and optimisation services to business in addition to managing commodity risk and providing wholesale market access for the Centrica Group.

We trade power, gas, liquified natural gas and green certificates, connecting energy producers, suppliers and offtakers in wholesale energy markets. We are one of the largest renewable asset managers in Europe, with over 16.5GW of capacity under contract, of which more than 85% is renewable assets.

Your Background & the Role Requirements

We expect you hold a relevant MSc degree (Economics, Management Accounting or similar). You will be responsible for the creation of consistent, streamlined, and automated monthly settlements for a given area.

This role will be based out of Aalborg and is open for immediate hire.

You will be a part of a diverse team of experienced settlements specialists, commercial support managers, and analysts.

  • Detail-oriented and will go the extra mile to find any discrepancies
  • Confident in working with tight deadlines
  • Responsible for consistent, streamlined, and automated settlement processes, gathering and interpreting complex data
  • Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and customers across locations
  • Proactive and solution-oriented
  • Analytical and able to work independently – solutions might not always be straightforward
  • Able to communicate verbally and in written English and German
  • Sympathetic and friendly in their manner
  • Understanding or keen to understand the dynamics of the energy industry
  • Knowledge of the Endur platform would be desirable
