About the role
We are looking to hire a skilled Senior QA & Test Engineer, to join our Clearing Engineering Department in Copenhagen. You will be reporting to the Team Lead.

You are competent in building domain knowledge and developing your test automation knowledge and skills in close collaboration with the other testers and developers of the team. You value bringing your experience with, and knowledge in, the core principles of test and quality assurance to the table in the development of our approach to automation, and QA in general.

In this role you will support the refinement of development features and be responsible for the test aspects relating to the different deliveries. You are competent in software testing, have a general understanding of programming and a motivation to increase your skills in the programming domain. You will both plan and analyse automated tests and also implement those in cooperation with your developer colleagues. You can potentially increase your focus on programming automation as we gain the skills and know-how in this area in the team. You will also support in test analysis within other areas of QA in the team, apart from automation, such as performance and stability testing.

What you will be doing

  • Refinement of Features and the breakdown and planning of the work
  • Support the business colleagues in performing user acceptance testing
  • Analysis of requirements and solution to determine the test approach
  • Collaborate on the design, implementation and maintenance of component tests and integration tests
  • Define automation of tests and automate manual test flows
  • Investigate, communicate and report on bugs
  • Continuous improvement of our processes and tools
  • Coordinate QA effort with other teams to ensure end-to-end quality assurance

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, you have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role where you have been responsible for software testing, acquired knowledge in test automation and worked in close collaboration with developers in an agile setup. You preferably have some programming experience with automated tests and an educational background within computer science, engineering or other relevant area, along with 5+ years of experience gained from the IT industry.

You value ensuring quality, while still being pragmatic about what can be accomplished within the given time and resources. You want to build the skills to help the team differentiate between what is suitable for automation and what isn't. It would be beneficial if you have experience in working/testing with C#, and APIs hosted in Azure. Additionally, it will be an asset if you have more than basic understanding of SQL, the ability to understand code when needed and a drive for learning more within development of automated tests.

Your interpersonal skills cover a can-do attitude and a detail-oriented and structured mindset. You are skillful in communicating at all levels of an organization which makes you able to be an understandable and knowledge-sharing team player.

As Banking Circle is an international company, it is a requirement that you are fluent in English. Your team colleagues are all working in our Copenhagen office.
