Solution Architect

The Solution Architect is responsible for proposing specific Infor solutions that fit within the customer’s business environment and business objectives and can be shown to address the customer’s business problems and exploit opportunities. The Solution Architect is able to understand customer business drivers and current IT environment. The Solution Architect ensures solution feasibility and proposes a roadmap to realise the solution.

The Solution Architect is deployed operationally across multiple solution domains utilizing their broad knowledge of the Infor solution portfolio to identify the components required to construct the most appropriate solution for the customer. The Solution Architect is typically engaged full time as part of the project delivery structure.

General
  1. Acts as an expert and evangelist in Infor Applications and Technology.
  2. Maintains up-to-date product and technical knowledge of the Infor portfolio and roadmap for an industry and/or horizontal solution set.
  3. Knowledge of one or more Industry sectors and is able to present solutions in an Industry context.
  4. Ability to decompose large complex problems into manageable pieces allowing smooth communication on both business and technical levels.
  5. Excels at presenting to C-level audiences focusing on demonstrating the business value of solutions rather than technical detail.
  6. Knowledge of the important standards for business processes, information models and architectural models generally applied in an industry.
  7. Designs, develops, documents and delivers solution architectures that meet client’s business process and generate business value for the customer.
  8. Leads architectural discussions with clients around proposed solutions.
  9. Determines solution approach, identifies the critical path and defines an appropriate solution roadmap.
  10. Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers throughout the sales lifecycle.
  11. Ensures solution is practical and provides continuity in the implementation project.
Delivery
  1. Acts as the primary point of ownership with responsibility for functional solution.
  2. Experience in delivery of complex cross-pillar solutions utilizing Infor products.
  3. Challenges requirements to take advantage from the value-added provided by Infor solutions.
  4. Manages changes to the solution architecture due to change requests.
  5. Ensures that the different solution pieces built by different teams are consistent.
  6. Actively ensures that design/development standards are upheld.
  7. Provides ongoing solution governance and manages the solution through design and delivery to ensure its final integrity.
  8. Participates in and contributes to the development of the Solution Architecture Professional Community.
Skills, Experience and Attributes Required
  1. Must have proven experience of Architecting ERP solutions.
  2. Implementation experience across all business process areas of Warehousing, Logistics, Procurement; or Manufacturing and Planning; or Customer Sales Management; or Service and Rental; or Finance preferred.
  3. Experience of several full project life-cycle implementations as Lead Consultant or Solution Architect.
  4. Conceptual knowledge of OAGi standards, workflow & integration methods & techniques.
  5. Has applied TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Forum) concepts in a project environment. Able to deploy TOGAF Architecture Development Methods (ADM).
  6. Experience in one or more industry segments such as Fashion, Food & Beverage, Distribution, Industrial Manufacturing, Chemical & Life Sciences, Automotive or Enterprise Asset Management.
  7. Strong oral and written communication that effectively articulates complex ideas. Excels at presenting complex content to a non-technical audience.
  8. Fluent in local language and English language.
  9. Willingness to travel nationally and throughout Europe.
