Event Planning and Coordination

We are seeking a creative and versatile student assistant to assist in developing and hosting events and handling various administrative tasks.

  • Assist in the development and planning of event concepts and event timelines
  • Set up and break down event spaces, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available and functioning
  • Handle registrations and attendee lists
  • Provide on-site support, greeting and assisting attendees, troubleshooting any issues during the event, and coordinating with the event team to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Perform other practical and administrative tasks

You will be part of a team of 3 assistants who together handle graphic, communicative, administrative, and practical tasks in connection with events and assist our project managers with research and development tasks.

Requirements

  • Have at least one year (preferably two years) left of their studies
  • Have experience with planning and hosting events
  • Be proficient in both written and spoken English, with a flair for creative expression
  • Be able to commit to an average of 15 hours per week

Ideally, you are creative, proactive, and take pride in delivering high-quality results. You'll be handling a variety of tasks, often with short deadlines, so being able to stay organized, work efficiently, and meet deadlines will be very helpful.

Since its conception in 2013, DTU Skylab has been an engaging and inclusive learning space with offices, teaching, and event facilities, with multiple workshops and laboratories.

Salary and Terms of Employment

The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Organisations of Public Employees-Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff etc. (HK/State).

Working Hours and Location

Working hours are on average 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
