About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Expert to join our team at Danfoss GmbH. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will play a vital role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives and ensuring efficient supply chain management.

As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing supplier strategies across various categories, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing Strategy Development: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within assigned categories.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and resolving conflicts as needed.
  • Cost Reduction and Value Improvement: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, working closely with suppliers to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing decisions.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably within the industrial sector.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies, driving cost savings and value improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
