About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for managing the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers.

  • Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  • Build the technical relationship with customers and operate as their trusted advisor.
  • Internally, be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
  • Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching, and mentoring others.
  • Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customer's outcomes.
About the Team

The AWS ISV Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to working with software companies. We're here to help customers design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions.

Basic Qualifications
  • Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, or DevOps.
  • Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience.
  • Experience in managing complex sales processes with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • English business-level communication skills written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and familiarity with software companies.
  • Prior domain experience in enterprise cloud adoption and operating production workloads on AWS.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native design patterns, DevOps practices, and AWS services.
  • Experience with or understanding of common enterprise regulations, security, and compliance standards.
  • Public speaking experience or passion for creating technical content.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role.
