The Department of Food Science at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a PhD fellowship in plant proteins and data modelling. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of sustainable food innovation by advancing our understanding of plant-based food development.

About the Project

Our research group focuses on the intersection of food science, sustainability, and data analysis. We aim to create innovative solutions for a more sustainable food system. The successful candidate will be part of this dynamic team and work closely with our researchers to advance knowledge in the field.

As a PhD researcher, you will be responsible for conducting independent research under the supervision of experienced academics. You will design and implement experiments, collect and analyze data, and disseminate your findings through publications and presentations.

About the Position

The position is available from 1 February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The employment will be full-time and for a maximum of 3 years. You will be employed as a PhD fellow and enrolled as a PhD student at the PhD School at the Faculty of SCIENCE, University of Copenhagen.

We offer a competitive salary, starting at approximately $65,000 per year, plus pension contribution and other benefits. Our research facilities are state-of-the-art, and we provide opportunities for professional development and networking within the international scientific community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in food science, plant proteins, or a related field. They should also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
