Bioinformatics Specialist for Metabolic Diseases

We are seeking a bioinformatics specialist to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research. As a bioinformatics specialist, you will play a critical role in analyzing large datasets and identifying distinct subtypes of type 2 diabetes.
You will work closely with our team of experts to develop and implement advanced analytical methods to analyze large datasets and identify distinct subtypes of type 2 diabetes. By leveraging comprehensive phenotype data, including wearables, molecular markers, and behavioral factors, you will help us understand how these subtypes respond differently to preventive interventions and their varying risk of developing complications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced analytical methods to analyze large datasets
- Work closely with our team of experts to identify distinct subtypes of type 2 diabetes
- Conduct research on type 2 diabetes subtypes using comprehensive phenotype data
Requirements:
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Data Science, or Epidemiology
- Expertise in handling and analyzing data from wearable devices
- Strong computational background and experience with large datasets
- High level of proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python
