Senior Infrastructure Investment Expert

We are seeking a senior infrastructure investment expert to join our team at IFU. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in delivering public infrastructure finance to developing countries.
Key Responsibilities- Project Development and Management: Identify, develop, screen, and appraise project proposals to ensure that selected projects align with our investment strategy and overall strategies for Danish development policy and partner country priorities.
- Project Execution: Drive projects through relevant decision process stages, including due diligence, design & tender, and financial close, with support from in-house and external experts.
- Project Oversight and Monitoring: Oversee and follow-up on project development and implementation, ensuring timely and accurate updates of information systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain close dialogue and collaboration with national and international public sector organizations, development finance institutions, and technical consultants.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Vast experience in infrastructure finance projects in developing countries, preferably in water and sanitation, waste, and/or renewable energy.
- The ability to drive project- and stakeholder management in complex and political environments, including financial and socio-economic analysis, assessment of development, climate, and environmental impact, and social and governance issues.
- Familiarity with development finance trends and possibilities, including multilateral development organizations, EU institutions, and companies working with developing countries and partners.
