Senior Health Services Manager

The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Health Services Manager to join its team in the European Region. This exciting opportunity is part of the Division of Country Health Policies and Systems, which assists countries in designing and implementing health policies and systems to strengthen universal health coverage.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned professional with expertise in health service management to provide technical support on health services reforms in Member States of the WHO European Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance on measures to improve health service management models at the country level, as well as assisting with literature reviews, data analysis, and policy dialogue preparation.
This role requires a strong understanding of international best practices, political systems, social and health systems in the WHO European countries, and the ability to interact effectively with policymakers and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and operational guidance on health service management models at the country level, focusing on international best practices and countries' experiences.
- Assist with literature reviews, data analysis, benchmarking of frameworks, and quality criteria of health service management training programs.
- Support the design and preparation of policy dialogues and implementation packages using a network of national teams and international experts.
- Manage the evidence base in health service management through synthesis of knowledge and developing country analysis in specialized topics.
- Actively contribute to building expert networks on health service management to improve capacity and quality in health management and human resources in health.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health science, public health, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in technical areas related to the provision and organization of health services. Strong skills in data management and analysis, oral and written communication, and report writing are essential.
