About DTU Chemical Engineering
The department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at DTU is a leading institution for education, research, and innovation in product design, process design, and production. We strive to increase the theoretical understanding of technical chemical and biochemical processes and products, while keeping industrial applicability in focus.
We enjoy a close and mutually beneficial relationship with many Danish-based industrial companies, as well as with leading universities and industries from all over the world. Innovation through industrial implementation of research results is a natural component of our strategy.
We cover the core chemical engineering disciplines: engineering thermodynamics, reaction engineering, transport phenomena, separation processes, unit operations, process systems engineering, dynamics and process control, product design and production. In addition, we teach and perform research within areas of particular practical importance, such as polymer materials, coatings science and technology, heterogeneous catalysis and bio-catalysis, enzyme technology, industrial fermentation, downstream processes, membrane technology, energy and environmental sustainability, combustion and gasification, high-temperature processes, particle technology, electrical based processes, and computer-based process design, scale-up and optimization.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications- Lead research groups in sustainable cleaning and conversion technologies, technical polymer chemistry, high-temperature processes, and other fields in chemical engineering.
- Contribute to the development of new technical solutions and the scaling up of processes from laboratory to pilot plants.
- Motivate colleagues to achieve their goals and develop innovative solutions.
- Collaborate closely with other research groups at DTU and external partners.
- Teach at the BEng, BSc, MSc, and PhD levels and contribute to curriculum development.
