PhD Researcher in Fish Ecology and Life-History
1 month ago
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at DTU Aqua, the National Institute for Aquatic Resources, Technical University of Denmark. The successful candidate will work on a 3-year PhD project focused on understanding how climate-induced changes in fish growth strategies affect future trends in fish community biomass and potential catch productivity.
Research ProjectThe PhD project will be part of a larger research project that aims to investigate the impact of climate change on fish communities. The project will involve the development of a trait-based fish community model with emergent fast and slow life history strategies to simulate fish community responses to environmental change.
QualificationsWe are looking for ecologists/biologists with documented quantitative skills or mathematicians/engineers with a keen interest in marine ecology. The successful candidate must have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree.
What We OfferDTU is a leading technical university globally recognized for the excellence of its research, education, innovation, and scientific advice. We offer a rewarding and challenging job in an international environment. The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
