Are you an expert in chemical ecology and microbial natural products?
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the Center for Microbial Secondary Metabolites (CeMiSt) at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU).

About the Position

CeMiSt is a research center that aims to understand the role of microbial secondary metabolites in shaping microbial communities. We are looking for a researcher with a strong background in natural products chemistry and molecular biology to join our team.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Identify and characterize bioactive metabolites and their biosynthetic gene clusters from actinomycetes isolated from our CeMiSt sampling sites.
  • Develop and implement assays to assess the chemical ecology of these metabolites in shaping microbial communities.
  • Contribute to the development of a highly interdisciplinary research team.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • A PhD degree in a relevant field (natural products chemistry, molecular biology, etc.).
  • Documented practical experience in chemical ecology and natural products chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
