We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Public Health Researcher to join our team at the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social medicine and a proven track record of conducting high-quality research in this field.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Senior Public Health Researcher will be to conduct cutting-edge research on social inequality in health. This will involve designing and implementing studies, analyzing data, and publishing findings in reputable academic journals. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of research proposals, participate in grant writing, and collaborate with colleagues from various departments.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the complex relationships between social determinants of health, health outcomes, and healthcare systems. You should also possess excellent research skills, including the ability to design and implement studies, collect and analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions from your findings.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in public health or a related field, as well as several years of experience working in a research setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate complex research findings to both academic and non-academic audiences.

The salary for this position is approximately €80,000 per annum, which reflects the senior level of the role and the candidate's qualifications.
