As a Supply Chain Officer at UNICEF, you will be part of a team that ensures the uninterrupted supply of essential and strategic supplies to support our programs.

Job Description

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum

This role involves supporting the collection and generation of relevant data and analysis for supply chain, forecasting, and demand planning purposes. You will contribute to ensuring supply chain business intelligence is developed and available, organizational performance indicators are regularly monitored, and supply dashboards and other visibility and monitoring tools are available and working optimally.

You will work closely with stakeholders in supply, program, and implementing partners to coordinate and communicate effectively. This includes participating in preparing and executing comprehensive long-term forecasts and rolling demand forecasts for current and anticipated emergencies.

You will also monitor the materialization of rolling demand forecasts and stay in close contact with UNICEF country offices to ensure the latest demand figures are updated. Acts as a liaison between UNICEF SD relevant centers and UNICEF country offices to ensure full support is provided in updating their rolling demand forecast.

You will engage, monitor, and channel discussions in the internal corporate Yammer network, especially those related to your area of responsibility, and monitor and contribute to relevant online community platforms and external discussion forums.

You will support the conceptualization and design of optimized forecasting processes by actively engaging in meetings, coordinating meeting inputs and outputs, and following up and/or implementing action points.

You will provide regular updates on the demand realization gap analysis to relevant procurement centers, utilizing data visualization tools such as Power BI. You will also provide trend analysis to allow contract managers to react to short- and long-term changes in demand.

Requirements
  • Education: A completed First University degree (Bachelor's Degree) in business, economics, development, social sciences, statistics, supply chain, or a relevant field is required.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two years of work experience in public and/or private sector with proficiency in demand planning and forecasting, good use of data processing and data, business data analysis and intelligence, systems, and process analysis, and/or performance monitoring is required, preferably in areas related to the supply chain and preferably with experience working in the field.
  • Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in French is an asset.
