About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Offshore Wind Project Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global project development team, you will be responsible for securing and delivering consents for complex offshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as Project Manager, Project Director or strategic advisor for the environmental/consenting elements of key strategic international offshore wind projects.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, expanding networks, and identifying new project opportunities.
  • Supporting strategic decision-making and helping projects see 'the bigger picture'.
  • Managing complex, multidisciplinary teams to deliver and exceed expectations.
  • Applying effective project management practices, including clear roles, resourcing, budget management, baselines, and change control.
  • Ensuring global efficiencies and consistency in templates, processes, resources, and lessons learned.
  • Troubleshooting and developing practical solutions for complex challenges.
  • Supporting project delivery through resourcing, upskilling, and capability building.

Additionally

  • You will support our one-stop shop SectorWind unit to deliver early feasibility and bid support packages to our clients globally.
  • Advice on the environmental and consenting elements of our due diligence work.

Global Growth - Strategy and Governance

  • Supporting Global Offshore Wind Lead (Environment) in defining and executing international growth strategies.
  • Leading/supporting growth in emerging markets through strategy, client development, and recruitment.
  • Leading/supporting global governance of offshore wind projects, including opportunity selection and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborating with regional teams to recruit and upskill staff for offshore wind projects in target geographies.
  • Leading/supporting strategic offshore wind bids to maximize success in quality, pricing, timeliness, value proposition, and international insights.
  • Managing key client relationships to ensure performance and expand opportunities.
  • Identifying scope growth opportunities in existing projects.
  • Leveraging personal network to secure new opportunities.
  • Strengthening internal connections to access opportunities and support the 'One Sector Wind' offer.
  • Promoting the Ramboll brand in the offshore wind space through conferences, industry groups, articles, and social media.

  • Proven experience delivering full consent and supporting EIA for offshore wind projects.
  • Strong understanding of environmental/consenting requirements and, ideally, advisory and engineering disciplines across the project lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, identify scope growth opportunities, and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Project Management accreditation or proven expertise in managing complex projects, including scope baselining, change control, budget, and schedule management.
  • Experienced in leading complex bids and projects, building and managing teams for successful delivery.
  • Strong communicator, negotiator, and presenter with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clear financial and commercial acumen, including contracts, profit share, bid costing, and profitability.
  • Well-networked in the offshore wind industry with a proven track record of winning work with diverse clients.
  • Willingness to travel, including internationally.
