About the Role:

Aalborg Portland is seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Sales Director for Domestic/Grey Cement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and strengthening Aalborg Portland's competitive position through strategic sales development, volume management, and profitability optimization across the markets of Denmark, Norway, and Iceland.

As Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable sales, marketing, and business development activities. You will navigate a complex market in which Aalborg Portland holds a leading position, managing your own customer portfolio across a diverse and dispersed client base.

The key responsibilities of this role include defining and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans based on comprehensive market analysis, identifying key patterns and trends. Additionally, you will lead, motivate, and develop the sales and marketing team through ongoing training and engagement.

You will also ensure market requirements are effectively communicated to the product development team, aligning go-to-market strategies with the company's product roadmaps. Furthermore, you will manage and monitor sales and marketing activities to ensure alignment with established plans, concepts, and budgets.

The ideal candidate will have a commercial education in sales and/or marketing at a minimum BSc, MSc, or MBA level, combined with at least 7-8 years of documented leadership experience within strategic sales management, preferably within the building/construction sector, engineering consultancy, or a related industry.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, structured, and data-driven capabilities enabling them to identify trends, prioritize initiatives, and make sound, evidence-based decisions. They will also be an excellent communicator with solid sales and negotiation skills, and a deep knowledge of sales processes, CRM, and sales KPIs.
