Academic Officer Position at Copenhagen University

We are seeking a highly motivated Academic Officer to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research. As an Academic Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our research activities, working closely with our international and interdisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field, and experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, or deep learning. You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in programming languages such as Bash, Python, Julia, or R.

Salary and BenefitsThe employment as Academic Officer is a permanent position with 12 hours of work per week. The expected starting date is negotiable, but we anticipate it will be around March 1, 2025. The monthly salary will be based on seniority, and we offer a competitive compensation package, including pension benefits.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will assist in gathering, organizing, and cleaning large-scale biological data, test and quality-assure our bioinformatics workflows, and provide general support to researchers within the Group at various stages of their research.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field

- Programming experience in dynamic languages like Bash, Python, Julia, or R
