About the JobWe are seeking a strong candidate holding a PhD in statistics or mathematics with a focus on foundational statistics and its applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in frequentist, Bayesian, and likelihood-based inference statistics through research and teaching experience.
The selected candidate will be expected to conduct research activities in collaboration with fellow faculty members at the Danish Institute for IT Program Management and the Computer Science Department.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the IT University's education programs by giving courses and supervising BSc and MSc theses, engaging with society through external collaboration, securing external funding, and contributing to the IT University's strategic goals.
Requirements- A Ph.D. in statistics or mathematics
- Expertise in frequentist, Bayesian, and likelihood-based inference statistics
- Experience in the design of experiments and application of statistical methods
- Experience with R statistical software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The IT University of Copenhagen offers a competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The estimated annual salary is approximately $83,000-$110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
