Job Title: Coordinator

Job Summary:

Human Rights Watch is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Copenhagen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating events, managing donor relationships, and providing operational support to the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of fundraising events, including the Voices for Justice Dinner and film screenings.
  • Manage donor relationships, including gift entry, prospect research, and translation tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to the Copenhagen office, including scheduling, preparing materials for meetings, and responding to inquiries.
  • Liaise with the HRW Next Generation network in Denmark and develop strategies to expand the network.
  • Assist with fundraising and events in Norway and maintain donor tracking and gift entry for Norway.
  • Organize logistical aspects of events and fundraising, including maintaining spreadsheets, documenting gifts, and preparing solicitation materials.
  • Maintain the Salesforce database, ensuring accurate and timely updates of donor and financial information.
  • Support the daily activities of the Copenhagen Circle of Friends, donors, and prospects, including conducting research, preparing briefs, and drafting donor communications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human rights, international relations, social science, communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Danish and English.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivation and ability to take initiative, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Analytical skills and ability to conduct online research.
  • Proficiency in computer programs, including MS Office applications, and experience with Salesforce or other donor databases.
