The Development and Outreach Department of Human Rights Watch is seeking a highly skilled and organized Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Copenhagen team. The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the preparation, production, and follow-up of major organizational fundraising, cultivation, and outreach events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate events, including the Voices for Justice Dinner, film screenings, and private events
  • Provide development and fundraising support, including gift entry, prospect research, and donor database management
  • Liaise with the HRW Next Generation network in Denmark and develop, support, and expand the network
  • Assist in fundraising and events in Norway and assume responsibility for donor tracking and gift entry
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Copenhagen office, including scheduling, preparing materials, and responding to inquiries

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human rights, international relations, social science, communication, or a related field
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Danish and English
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences
