PhD Scholarship in Public Administration

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a PhD scholar in public administration. The successful candidate will be part of our research group at the Department of Political Science and Public Management, Syddansk Universitet (SDU).
About the PositionThe PhD scholarship is a fully salaried position that spans over three years. The successful candidate will be enrolled in the PhD programme in Political Science and will be part of our research group, which focuses on public management, leadership, organization, governance paradigms, public employees, civil servants, public finances, citizen-state interactions, AI, local and central government, and local elections.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct original research in public administration, with a focus on public management and leadership or the use of AI/digitalization in the public sector.
- Develop and implement a PhD project proposal, in consultation with the research group and the Head of Section.
- Contribute to the research group's activities, including seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Participate in teaching and dissemination activities, as needed.
- A master's degree in political science or a related discipline.
- A strong interest in public administration, with a focus on public management and leadership or the use of AI/digitalization in the public sector.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to generate new research ideas.
- Strong analytical and methodological skills.
- Potential for independent scholarly work.
The PhD scholarship carries a monthly salary, including pension, plus office facilities and financial support for conference travels and research visits abroad. The successful candidate will also have access to our research group's resources and expertise.

- A copy of your master's/bachelor's degree certificate, including all examination results.
- A copy of your bachelor's degree certificate.
- Information on experience with teaching, dissemination, or scientific publication, if applicable.
