About This Role

Vestas seeks a Contract Manager to join our Customer & Contract Management department. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring a high-quality customer experience and professional contract management within the Service Offshore department of Vestas Northern & Central Europe (NCE).

Responsibilities

  • Interpret contracts in terms of scope, obligations, rights, and remedies, providing summaries for the Service team.
  • Review incoming communications from customers/contractors, drafting routine notices, submissions, and communications according to the contract.
  • Maintain and supervise claims, coordinating evaluation and resolution with other departments.
  • Negotiate and draft settlement agreements to optimize dispute resolution under relevant contracts.
  • Support the Service team and collaborate with the Vestas Legal department.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated contract and claims management experience with in-depth knowledge of claim correspondence in connection with defect/warranty claims, cost claims, and extension of time claims.
  • Significant experience in wind or heavy construction industries, preferably as a contract & claims manager.
  • Commercial awareness and practice.
  • Claims management experience with in-depth knowledge of claim correspondence.
  • Broad knowledge of contract types and structures in construction and energy industries (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Professional qualifications (RICS) or relevant academic qualifications (legal qualifications related to construction industry) desirable.

Additional Information

The primary work location can be Hamburg or Berlin in Germany, Aarhus or Copenhagen in Denmark, Edinburgh in UK, or Oostende in Belgium. You will report directly to the Senior Manager Contract Management. Alternative locations can be considered for the right candidate.
