As a Category Manager in Ocean Asset Partnerships, you will work closely with technical and operational teams to define and deliver cost-competitive solutions to the Maersk global fleet of vessels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and executing on an aggressive strategy to ensure cost leadership
  • High level of internal and external stakeholder management with emphasis on creating partnerships
  • Driving cross-functional projects to deliver on ambitious year-on-year cost reduction targets
  • Offer evaluation, building negotiation strategies, and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts or projects
  • Establishing and applying cost modelling concepts, spend & demand analysis, and evaluations
  • Addressing day-to-day operational queries within your area of responsibility

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about engines and machinery, and who has the will, curiosity, and experience to impact the business

  • You are an action-orientated individual with minimum 5 years' experience in procurement or technical sales & marketing within the maritime, transport or other relevant industry
  • You need to possess refined communication and interpersonal skills, and you get excited by taking an active part in the transformation of our organization to further support our customer's needs
  • You have a strong commercial mindset with a natural focus on achieving the most cost-effective solutions for the business
  • You are open-minded, curious, and like to challenge both yourself and our organization to continuously develop and reach the next level
  • You have a strong personal drive and take pleasure in working in a global diverse team
  • You are good at solving complex business problems in a structured and analytical manner, e.g., via project management and negotiations
