Postdoctoral Research Fellow for Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomics

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our team at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be part of the Cardiac Proteomics group led by Professor Lundby and will investigate protein regulations involved in the pathogenesis of cardiometabolic syndrome using quantitative proteomics-based approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate remodeling in hearts from animal models, patient samples, and cell systems using mass spectrometry-based proteomics.
- Identify molecular changes driving the disease state and develop strategies to extract novel findings of importance to cardiac pathophysiology.
- Collaborate with a team of scientists across multiple scientific fields focused on improving our molecular understanding of cardiac pathophysiology.
- Work with state-of-the-art laboratories and core facilities as well as modern office spaces.
Requirements
- PhD with experience from a relevant field including but not limited to Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Sciences.
- Ambitious, creative, independent, and self-driven.
- Hands-on skills and expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas: experimental know-how of mass spectrometry-based proteomics (LC-MS/MS), analytical know-how of mass spectrometry data analysis, experimental know-how of various types of sample preparations, and experience in quantitative proteomics approaches.
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and written, is a requirement.
