Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Copenhagen office. The primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across Denmark and other locations, adhering to local compliance requirements.

This involves optimizing payroll processes by identifying efficiencies, automation opportunities, and best practices to enhance accuracy and reduce manual workload. You will also manage post-payroll activities, such as delivering finance files, generating reports, overseeing audit controls, and performing reconciliation.

Closely collaborating with colleagues in People & Culture is essential to support employee and manager payroll-related queries. Your expertise in managing complex payroll issues is critical, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working in payroll within a complex, multinational organization.
  • A strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance, particularly in Denmark, with experience in other European countries being a plus.
  • Experience in optimizing payroll processes, introducing automation, and implementing payroll system enhancements.
  • Knowledge of financial aspects related to payroll, including tax compliance, benefits administration, and accounting processes.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with HR operations and their intersection with payroll is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in payroll and HR systems such as VismaLøn and VismaHR is a plus.
