Scientist in Epigenetics and Gametogenesis

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher for a 2-year postdoctoral position to join our team at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, University of Copenhagen.
The successful candidate will be part of the Stewart-Morgan group, focusing on epigenetic dynamics and function in germ cell biology. Our research aims to elucidate general epigenetic principles using mammalian gametogenesis as a unique biological system.
As a postdoc in our group, you will design experimental strategies, generate and analyze complex datasets, and write scientific manuscripts. Additional tasks may include contributing to grant applications, supervising MSc and PhD students, teaching undergraduate courses, and outreach communication activities.
To excel in this role, you should have a PhD in life sciences or a related field, experience in mouse model generation and genetics, and an active interest in epigenetics, genome regulation, or gametogenesis. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English are also essential.

The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week. Salary, pension, and other benefits are in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The monthly salary starts at approximately €5,100 (April 2024 level), with additional supplements possible based on qualifications.
