Job Title: Biomedical Laboratory Specialist for Genomic Research

We are seeking a highly skilled biomedical laboratory specialist to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers in the development and implementation of cutting-edge genomic techniques, including next-generation sequencing and RNA analysis.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research is a vibrant international research environment with a strong focus on basic metabolic research. Our center has around 260 employees from over 50 countries, working together to advance our understanding of metabolism and develop new prevention and treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement novel genomic techniques for transcriptomics and epigenetics
  • Work closely with researchers to design and execute experiments using Illumina sequencers and liquid handling robots
  • Maintain high-quality standards in laboratory work, including documentation and quality control
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize and develop new protocols and operating procedures

Requirements:

  • Degree as biomedical laboratory scientist (bioanalytiker)
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with laboratory work, including molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing, including RNASeq, small RNASeq, RRBS, and ATACSeq
  • Hands-on experience with liquid handling robots, such as Sciclone IQ and JANUS
  • Excellent documentation skills and ability to work independently
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
