Are you a skilled professional with expertise in data protection and compliance? We are seeking a dedicated Data Protection Specialist to join our team at SSP Nordics, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is a unique opportunity to work on a temporary position with a fixed-term engagement of 18 months, focused on embedding a culture of compliance within the organization and implementing the Gap Solution system.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can develop, implement, and oversee compliance policies and procedures tailored to the Nordic region, ensuring they meet relevant legal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GDPR advisory, data protection, or compliance roles, with experience managing compliance programs. Proficiency in GDPR and data protection principles, including experience with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), data subject rights management, and implementing effective compliance practices is essential.

This role involves conducting regular risk assessments, coordinating internal and external audits, and managing audit findings with prompt corrective actions. You will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive compliance documentation and providing up-to-date reporting on organizational compliance status across the Nordic operations. Furthermore, you will design and deliver ongoing training programs for management and staff, ensuring adherence to current regulations, best practices, and internal policies.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English. Strong independent working skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment are also essential. If you have experience with the Gap Solution system, it is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee compliance policies and procedures tailored to the Nordic region.

  • Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation and provide up-to-date reporting on organizational compliance status across the Nordic operations.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering practical compliance guidance, managing data privacy practices, resolving compliance issues, and overseeing data breach incidents and data subject requests.
