About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Nordic Data Protection Specialist to lead our compliance program, ensuring adherence to local, national, and international regulations. This role is critical in embedding a culture of compliance within the organization, driving initiatives that promote a culture of trust and transparency.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in GDPR advisory, data protection, or compliance roles, with expertise in managing compliance programs. Proficiency in GDPR and data protection principles, including experience with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), data subject rights management, and implementing effective compliance practices is essential.

A strong understanding of risk management and improvement strategies, along with excellent communication skills, is necessary for this position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance policies and procedures tailored to the Nordic region, ensuring they meet relevant legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures tailored to the Nordic region.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, coordinate internal and external audits, and manage audit findings with prompt corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation and provide up-to-date reporting on organizational compliance status across the Nordic operations.
  • Design and deliver ongoing training programs for management and staff, ensuring adherence to current regulations, best practices, and internal policies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering practical compliance guidance, managing data privacy practices, resolving compliance issues, and overseeing data breach incidents and data subject requests.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional experience: Minimum of 2 years in GDPR advisory, data protection, or compliance roles, with experience managing compliance programs.
  • Technical knowledge: Proficiency in GDPR and data protection principles, including experience with DPIAs, data subject rights management, and implementing effective compliance practices.
  • Risk management & improvement: Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks, with a strong ability to coordinate audit findings and drive continuous improvements.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English (oral and written) with strong communication skills to support compliance guidance and deliver training.
