Postdoctoral Researcher in Ribosome Specialization and Colorectal Cancer

Research PositionWe are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre. The successful candidate will contribute to our research on ribosome specialization and its role in colorectal cancer.
Our ResearchOur team aims to understand the mechanisms underlying ribosome specialization and its impact on translational programs. We use a range of model systems, including human stem cells, neuronal cultures, and 2D and 3D cultures of human cells and patient samples. Our research focuses on the central role of the ribosome in biological processes and its potential hijacking in human disease.
The ProjectThe postdoctoral researcher will join our team to explore the role of pathological translation programs in colorectal cancer. The project will involve the use of mouse and human organoid cultures, ribosome profiling, RiboMeth-seq, and mass spectrometry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop new techniques and contribute to the advancement of our research.
RequirementsWe are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with a PhD in biomedical or natural sciences. The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular and cellular biology, proficient communication skills, and the ability to work in teams. Excellent English skills are required.
Desirable QualificationsPrior experience in cancer research and working with protein synthesis/translation is an advantage. Computational skills would also be beneficial.
Working ConditionsThe place of employment is at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre, University of Copenhagen. We offer a dynamic and international research environment with modern laboratories and opportunities for networking and training.
Terms of EmploymentThe position is fixed-term for a period of 3 years, available now with a start date after agreement. Salary, pension, and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
