Job Summary

The Senior Data Center Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our contracted data center, ensuring a high level of service delivery and a reliable 24/7 data center operations environment. This role will support the Data Center Manager in all management-related tasks and will deputize for them as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-functionally manage data center maintenance services on-site, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
  • Monitor maintenance management strategies to ensure alignment with client objectives, particularly in terms of business continuity.
  • Implement standardized processes and procedures for data center SLAs across the site/accounts, in compliance with legislation and industry best practices.
  • Ensure the site is staffed by competent teams, with effective succession planning arrangements in place.
  • Ensure healthy and safe working conditions, and that company health and safety policy and process are effectively implemented across all teams' services and subcontractors' activities.
  • Implement control systems to ensure statutory, policy, and contractual commitments are met.
  • Maintain a customer focus within all operational activities, and ensure effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
  • Provide leadership and guidance, advice, coaching, and direct support, as required, to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment, and recognition/reward.
  • Deliver effective business communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, and other publications, as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a senior or executive management role, with responsibility for product, culture, people, and business growth.
  • Previous experience in critical environments/data centers and one or more of the following: M&E, facilities management, projects, building services.
  • Ability to deal with a range of people from junior to senior level, including site employees, suppliers, and customers.
  • Capacity to drive contract performance with strategic goals, while maintaining employee engagement.
  • Ability to remain adaptive to various complex challenges at the site level.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively connect with subordinate employees, clients, and CBRE management.
  • Excellent relationship builder, with proven internal and external client management experience and good networking skills.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to understand financial metrics.
  • Fluent language skills in English are required. Additional knowledge of Danish or another Nordic language would be an asset.
